Boost the Anfield atmosphere: All the must-know songs and chants

anfield_crowd_23022008.jpg

Boost the Anfield atmosphere? The notorious Anfield? The place where Europe's best hide in the shadows upon hearing the roar of the Kop?

True, there is little wrong with the decibel level when the Inters, the Barcas and the Chelseas come to visit. But what about the Boltons, the Barnsleys and the 'Boros?

We at Pies dream of a time when the atmosphere at domestic encounters is as fantastic and as fearsome as Champions League nights. And that's why we want to kick off more posts about terrace chants.

The old classics such as You'll Never Walk Alone, Poor Scouser Tommy and Fields of Anfield Road hold a special place in everyone's hearts. But what about the rest of the collection?

Thanks to contributors to RAWK a comprehensive list of Liverpool songs can be found here. Cheers lads. Now get out there and sing them!

For the record Poor Scouser Tommy is tops IMO. I'm loving 'Fernando Torres is Liverpool's Number 9' at the mo as well though. "His armband said he was a Red, Torres, Torres..."

JC Shop - New CD of Liverpool FC songs

Check out the latest CD by the lads that brought us "The Fields of Anfield Rd" played by George Sephton at Anfield.
ie "The Songs of Anfield Rd" which has 11 songs and is sold from official LFC outlets.
Their latest CD is an "unofficial" CD which sold in the HJC Shop, Anfield containing 22 Liverpool songs. (many of them are new songs)
Some of the songs can be heard at www.soundclick.com/scottishscousers.
Believe me it is worth having a listen.
