Do you consider Manchester United bigger rivals than Everton?

anfieldcrowdfivetimes.jpg

It's the million-dollar question that again is in the limelight with back-to-back encounters with our two biggest rivals.

With Everton's general rubbishness over the past ten years, it's possible to argue that, purely out of competition, United overtook our bitter neighbours in the must-beat stakes. Especially when three points against Everton were almost a given for so many years.

But now, thanks to some shrewd spending, David 'Gollum' Moyes has put Everton back on the radar, making the derby as much a question of three must-gain points as it is bragging rights.

So where do you stand on the matter? Personally, no one could ever overtake the blueshite in my eyes - and definitely not now a defeat would mean more than just annoying bitters spouting rubbish for the next six months - but I know my opinions aren't shared by all. Sure, victory against the Mancs is always a pleasure, especially when it's at Old Trafford, but can it really be considered our biggest game of any season?

Let us know on which side of the line you stand: Everton, or United? And, with these two huuuuuge games coming up in the space of a week, would you rather swap three points at United for guaranteed victory over Everton at Anfield? Which game is the most important as the season winds down? Use that old commenty thing below, why don't you.

As a United fan, I would say that Liverpool are our biggest rivals. Partly due to the fact that City are crap, and partly due to Liverpool fans being utterly delusional and build up false hope.

they aren't known as 'the Scum' for nothing. We live and breathe with Evertonians day in day out, with households split. But we hate the Mancs. Its beyond a mere rivalry in all honesty.

Everton are the Team Competing with Liverpool at the moment.
United are fighting it out with Arsenal and Chelsea for the Prem Title.
A win at Utd would probably mean a 4th place finish.
A Loss against Everton would probably mean a 5th place finish and a Uefa Cup Season next year.
If Everton Grab the 4th Spot - Everton would be Financially Strenghtened while at the same time Liverpool would be Financially weakened.
I Agree with the writer that nobody could overtake the RedShite as Our Main Rivals whether we were at different ends of the table or competing for the same Lucrative Spot.
Gollum will get his Precious back :)

I always prefer us to beat man u than everton if it came to the crunch. Sure bragging rights are always nice to have but in the big picture there's no one ever better to beat than man u - unless they're bottom of the table.
