The Monster Masch's first Liverpool goal this season took the tally of first-timers this season to a hefty eight - but which one will stand out in your memory come the season's closing curtain? Click through for an outline of each goal, watch the video links, and vote for your favourite...

Fernando Torres
vs Chelsea, 19/08/07
It seems almost an eternity ago that Fernando was notching up his first proper Reds strike, but the way he breezed past Ben Haim before sliding the ball beyond a diving Petr Cech was just the start of his unbelievable scoring form, and single-handedly summed up Fernando: pace, confidence, strength, and an unnerving eye for the back of the net.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Andriy Voronin
vs Toulouse, 15/08/07
It seems hard to believe that Andriy - with a disappointing return of just four goals thus far - was actually quicker out of the scoring traps than Torres was. It's also just as unbelievable that he picked up a Peter Crouch flick on and smashed home from full-on 25 yards. A rare highlight in a drab season for the Ukrainian.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Yossi Benayoun
vs Reading, 25/09/07
Filling the void left by Luis Garcia's departure was never going to be easy, and some concerned looks were already being given towards the goalless Yossi in late September. He duly responded by finishing a classy run with a terrific finish in the rout of Reading in the Carling Cup.

Fabio Aurelio
vs Bolton 02/03/08
We'd heard a lot about Fabio's ability from freekicks prior to his Merseyside move, which only added to the surprise when we were reminded he hadn't got off the mark for the Reds nearly 18 months into his Anfield stay. It was worth the wait, though, as he put the icing on a 3-0 win against Bolton with close-control matched by a dipping half-volley.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Ryan Babel
vs Derby 01/09/07
With Fernando's debut season being so special, it's easy to forget that Ryan's bagged an impressive 8 in his first 40 Liverpool appearances, many of which as a substitute. His potential was there to see from as early as September when he left two Derby defenders looking rather silly on the floor before wrong-footing the goalkeeper.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Javier Mascherano
vs Reading 15/03/08
If Steve Coppell was to be honest, probably the last person he would have expected to see dance through his midfield and find the corner from 20-something yards was Javier Mascherano. Which makes it all the more special that he did just that.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Lucas Leiva
vs Havant & Waterlooville, 26/01/08
An FA Cup to forget for us this year, but not one that the Brazilian youngster will want to ever forget. Shockingly trailing at home to the part-timers, Lucas took on the responsibility of a benched Steven Gerrard to curl home majestically from distance. The closest he'd come before that would arguably have been even more special, mind, what with his goal-bound effort only kept out of the Everton net earlier in the season by improvised goalkeeping from Phil Neville.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaal!

Nabil El Zhar
vs Cardiff, 31/10/07
Last but by no means least, the Moroccan youngster opened his Liverpool account with a stunning drive against Championship side Cardiff when they visited Anfield in the Carling Cup.
