Picture special - The new Liverpool home kit is unveiled
Adidas have today unveiled the new Liverpool home kit for the 2008/09 season.
The sportswear giant says the new kit has an embroidered Liver Bird positioned on the back of the shirt while the inner neck of the shirt has a red chequered area inspired by the flags of The Kop. The shirt also carries a "This is Anfield" inscription, inspired by the famous Anfield sign.
The new shirt collar is ribbed with a v-neck which has always been a fan favourite on previous shirts.
Technologies such as ClimaCool(tm) and ForMotion(tm), which allow heat and sweat to escape, giving athletes the freedom and movement to perform, are also an integral part of this new design.
The strip will go on sale on May 22 with a RRP of £45 for adults and £35 for kids.
