Vote: Who was Man of the Match against Arsenal?
Part two of Liverpool's triple header with Arsenal ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday - the second time the Reds have held the Gunners at Emirates in a week.
However, unlike Wednesday's Champions League first leg it was Rafael Benitez's side who took the lead. Peter Crouch was the goalscoring hero of a makeshift team, excellently steering the ball past Manuel Almunia on the stroke of half time.
Unfortunately, Nicklas Bendtner had to go and ruin things with an equaliser after the break but, hey, let's not be downhearted. They haven't beaten us in two attempts and that sets things up nicely for the most crucial game of all, at Anfield on Wednesday night.
I'm going to write a seperate post to explain my choice for Man of the Match. But here's a text I received from a mate just after full time which all but sums up my feelings:
Voronin, Riise and Pennant need shooting or selling. Not bothered which. We'll get about 75p for the lot. Plessis was excellent though, a real talent.
