We should refuse to budge on the £15m. We have two months to line up other potential targets and leave Villa sweating about being left with an unhappy, underperforming player on their hands in September. He's a good player, but not worth anything so close to the cost of Torres.

If we pay more than 10million, we should get relegated. He couldnt lace the boots of xabi alonso. We should use our resources to get villa and quresma!!!

Are you scousers idiots? Why the hell should you buy barry for less than 15million??

hes keeping carrick, hargreaves and lampard out of the england team and he is better than them. hargreaves went to manchester united for 18 million, same with carrick and lampard would go for over 20mil.

20 mil take it or leave it!!!

Can someone please tell me where he is supposed to play?? Unless Gerrard is on his way out, why is Rafa so intent on Barry. Could we please put the money towards the right wing where it is desperately needed (i.e. Quaresma, Ribery...)

Nothing more than 15m. Hargreaves cost Man Utd 25m so that should be a barometer to compare.

Need to remember that we'll soon need to be putting Home Grown players in our squads. We dont have many to be honest and Barry is one of the best English players of his position. Need to remember how much Carrick and Hargreaves cost and i would say there's not much between the three of them in terms of quality.
