Sorry about the uninspired title, I have a hangover as big as Babylon and my liver feels like it's been tattooed by an Antelope.
As I sit here, festering and sporting a t-shirt which can only be described as 'a bit gay', I was thinking about what I, as a fan want my team to achieve in the coming season, and I conveniently surmised that "I'm not sure".
For me, much rests on the next couple of weeks. We hear constant speculation about the future of both Alonso and Mascherano, and it's something that needs to be resolved. If we are resigned to losing them, so be it, but let's make sure it's for a fee that would make even the Sultan of Brunei weep gold tears.

Upon reading this, you ought to be salivating with Pavlovian expectation. Pies has been back in pre-season training, passed the statutory drug test (just), rejected a $674,800,348 offer from Real and commited its future to the 'club'.
We've slimmed-down, grown up and lost a little more hair since you last joined us (in no small part due to the refinancing antics), but as of today we'll be bringing you the very best from L4, Melwood and the back streets of Merseyside as Liverpool attempt to ascend to the top of the Premier League without oxygen or assistance from an air ambulance.
Watch our mis-placed hope turns to bitter vitriol, promising signings turn into Ali Dia failures and stay with us for maybe, one of the most exciting title chases in years.
So is there anybody out there? C'mon give us a cuddle and make us feel back at home.

The draw for the third round Champions League qualifiers will be made today at 11am at UEFA's Nyon headquarters, and there are a number of tough teams the Reds will be looking to avoid as Rafa Benitez aims to take the club one step further than last season's semi-final.
And there is a chance of an early reunification with former Reds winger Harry Kewell if the Reds land the Aussie's new employer's Galatasaray, while there could also be an emotional return to Anfield for little Luis Garcia and Florent Sinama-Pongolle if the Reds land one of the toughest possible ties available against Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool, who are top seeds, could face any of the following teams:
Atletico Madrid (Spain)
FC Sheriff (Moldova) or Sparta Prague (Czech Republic)
Drogheda United (Ireland) or Dynamo Kiev (Ukraine)
Levski Sofia (Bulgaria)
Slavia Prague (Czech Republic)
Galatasaray (Turkey)
Inter Baki (Azerbaijan) or FK Partizan (Serbia)
Vitoria SC (Portugal)
NK Domzale (Slovenia) or Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia)
Beitar Jerusalem (Israel) or Wisla Krakow (Poland)
Standard Liege (Belgium)
FC Twente (Netherlands)
Tampere United (Finland) or Artmedia Petrzalka (Slovakia)
Aalborg (Denmark) or FC Modrica (Bosnia)
SK Brann (Norway) or FK Ventspils (Latvia)
Anorthosis Famagusta (Cyprus) or Rapid Vienna (Austria)
So who do you think Rafa will want to avoid? Who would you prefer to land in the draw? Let us know as usual below.

No, I'm not being paid by Liverpool FC for this plug, and unfortunately we don't have tickets to give away, but tickets, which are like gold dust during the season proper, are still available in the Anfield Road stand, the Centenary, Paddock and the Main Stand from http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/ticket_info_79h_20080808.htm.
Go on the price is only £7-17 per person so don't miss your chance to see our lads in action ahead of our Premiership winning season (let's all pray together!)

Well, we're little over 17 days away from the big Premiership kick off now and Reds boss Rafa Benitez' squad strengthening for the summer is almost complete.
With five new arrivals at Anfield already, Rafa yesterday admitted that he will need to offload players before he is able to bring in further new recruits. But after Aston Villa's revelations that Gareth Barry will now remain at Villa Park next season (remains to be seen), will Rafa look elsewhere to further strengthen his options? Well only Rafa can answer that.

Rafa Benitez yesterday admitted that he will need to sell members of the current squad if he wants to bring in further new faces before the start of the new season.
After splashing out nearly £20million on the signing of Irish striker Robbie Keane from Tottenham, Benitez confessed that he is still interested in bringing in Gareth Barry from Villa, but also that he will need to raise the cash to do so by selling. And those whose Anfield futures may be under threat include Jermaine Pennant, Andriy Voronin, Steve Finnan and Xabi Alonso.
